CeBit and introduction of dab:exporter to ACL
The very first event we visited as a company and the first Software of dab. The dab: Exporter was a university project of three students (Stefan, Stephan and Martin) to extract data from SAP simply and reliably. The predecessor of our dab:neXus!
Founding of dab: Daten – Analysen & Beratung GmbH.
2004 was the beginning of our journey – with 5 founding members, with 2 of them being Stefan & Martin, our CEOs. Started from a university project, they laid the foundation for what our company is today. Cheers to that!

Everyone remembers their first home – it’s the same for us! Outgrowing the single room in the VHS Deggendorf, we moved into our very first office, just for dab.
1000 person days project at Bayer AG
Our first big project with our first customer Bayer AG. With only 3 active employees and one year for the completion, you can see where this was going. Stefan and Martin almost lived in cologne. On a side note: The head of internal audit from Bayer had such a good experience with us, that he continued to become the CEO of our subsidiary after his retirement.

What should later become our well known dab:AnalyticSuite started small: the first Analytics were written in 2006, cumulating in the dab:Scripts Software.

We won our (first) Best Business Award. With only 3 years since the beginning of the company we grew with time and were very happy to receive our first award, which we won again in 2017.
Hochschulpreis
As a spin-off from the university, it meant a lot to us to receive the “Hochschulpreis” (university price) in 2007.

The third price in 3 years – receiving the innovation award confirmed that our company and our products were moving into the right direction.

Our first analytic software ended and transitioned into something new: with dab:FastForwards we introduced what resembles the dab:AnalyticSuite now – a portfolio of ready to run analytics.

Acquistion of AM Data Consult und rebranding into dab:software
With the acquisition of another company, AM Data Consult, we integrated the licensing and sales from a reliable partner in the north of Germany. Dab:Software focused mostly on the licensing and customer support regarding ACL/Galvanize/Diligent Software and was integrated into our company in 2019.
Version 3.0 of dab:Exporter
A huge milestone in the development of our dab:Exporter was the update from client-application to a client-server-based software. This made a huge difference in the usability and use cases for our clients.

Besides our acquired subsidiary dab: Software we now also founded another company: dab: Mittelstand. With Günter we had the luck to have an experienced partner from the internal Audit as CEO. Founded to mostly help mid-sized companies we later learned to focus on other topics and rebrand it to dab:Data driven services.

(starting on the basis of 150 analytics we now have round about 300 with Artificial intelligence technology involved)
One of the latest evolutions of our analytics was in 2016, when dab: FastForward became the now well-known dab:AnalyticSuite. Starting with the 150 already built analytics we worked hard to get to the point where we now have around 300 ready to run analytics for many use cases.

We were very happy to get an exclusive partnership with one of the 6 biggest Certified Public Accountant companies in germany. During this partnership we developed new analytics, a new platform for them to use and maintain a strong partnership.

Our extraction technology evolved over the decades and resulted among other things in a first OEM version of the dab: Exporter for our partner diligent – the SAP Connector. Solely for the purpose of extracting data into the ACL format and integrated in the diligent solutions this helped us deliver our technology internationally.

The last year of our first software product dab: Exporter also meant the birth of dab:neXus. Integrating all of our know-How and technology into one product and operating on an SQL Database was a huge milestone for us.

Microsoft and dab: Daten – Analysen & Beratung GmbH are strengthening their collaboration. For companies worldwide relying on Microsoft technology, this means maximum efficiency in data extraction, process mining, or AI-powered automated analytics tailored to SAP data and processes. Technologically, the focal point is the ‘dab:Nexus’ platform based on Microsoft Azure .

A fresh design that showcases our brand dab in a modern light, all while continuing to build upon the values that have guided us for the past 20 years. We’re kicking off 2024 with a new look and new possibilities!
