As a result, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sap.com\/documents\/2017\/06\/66673acb-c37c-0010-82c7-eda71af511fa.html\">SAP ODP Data Replication APIs<\/a> (ODP-RFC) has long been used as the standard for integrating SAP data into analytical target systems.<br><br>Accordingly, there was significant attention when SAP explicitly restricted the use of certain SAP ODP Data Replication APIs by third-party applications. The focus here is particularly on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dab-europe.com\/en\/articles\/sap-notes-impacts-solutions\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.dab-europe.com\/en\/articles\/sap-notes-impacts-solutions\/\">SAP Note 3255746<\/a>. Access to these interfaces outside the SAP ecosystem is therefore considered non-compliant and may lead to risks regarding support, licensing, and audit.<br><br>For many organizations, this immediately raises the question of what impact this clarification has on existing SAP ODP-based data integrations.
