ACL™ is not only making big advances in product development – on-site personnel and presence on markets outside the USA and Canada are also being expanded. The ACL™ website for instance will now appear entirely in German.
We should like to inform you that as of August 1, 2016 AM:DataConsult GmbH is reincorporated as dab:Software GmbH. Affiliation with the dab:GmbH corporate group, existent since October 2014, is now demonstrated by our name and corporate identity.
This year Audit Challenge 2016 (http://audit-challenge.com/) took place from June 20 through 24 in Frankfurt. As part of the event we had the opportunity of delivering a practically oriented paper titled "10 years of successful data analytics" together with Anke Giegandt of BSH Hausgeraete (formerly BSH Bosch Siemens Hausgeraete).
In his posting of 2016-04-14 Stefan Wenig presented the newly created dab: Mittelstand GmbH as part of the dab corporate group, its basic motivation, where it aims to go and how it wants to get there. Establishing a separate company, I think, measures up to the challenges of SMB and the importance that attaches.

In this blog I want to describe possibilities of importing Microsoft® Excel files into ACL™, and offer tips for solving the problems that may occur. This import functionality is needed on an increasing scale in actual practice. An everyday example: We use ACL™ to conduct portfolio analyses in the context of credit financing for clients from the banking sector. Here different places deliver contract, payment and currency data in Microsoft Excel™ file format that have to be imported to ACL™ for reconciliation with other data.
