Throwback to the webinar with Dürr AG
The world's leading machine and plant manufacturer demonstrates a pronounced competence in automation and digitalization in the production environment. With the transformation of the audit workflow, Dürr AG also set the course for long-term process optimization in the company´s internal audit department.
In the joint webinar, Kai Rautenberg (Internal Auditor at Dürr AG) spoke about the changeover to the Diligent HighBond platform - away from elaborate spreadsheets to a digital solution for managing audits.
Decentralized work with the help of Excel meant not only a high manual effort in terms of manual documentation work, but also a high susceptibility to errors. Regular status queries were only possible by sending single lists by e-mail, which resulted in a high number of versions and thus a lack of clarity.
With the new software solution, auditors are now able to create their audit findings, including the risk rating, as workflow-based projects shared with all colleagues centrally on the platform. This gives them an overview of the respective work status at any time, allows them to centrally instruct the processing of the findings in just a few steps, and allows them to communicate with the departments.
As an audit coordinator, you have the option of assigning a person responsible for implementing the measures for each identified finding. With the help of an e-mail, which is sent directly from the interface, the responsible person receives the necessary instructions. Subsequently, the required information can be submitted via a questionnaire and the requested documents, for example a remediation plan, can be uploaded using the drag and drop function. The highlight here is the central storage of the evidence and simple communication with the parties involved via a type of chat function. This collaborative solution completely eliminates the need to manually consolidate and track email-based communication.
Working with the audit management solution from Diligent not only brought the desired increase in efficiency, but also received a high level of acceptance among users. Due to the easy usability, almost no training is required to work independently with the HighBond platform.
