Review of the webinar "Maximum Transparency in the SAP Authorization Concept"

The ideal for every SAP compliance officer: every user in the SAP system has only the authorizations assigned to him or her, no more and no less. In the webinar "Maximum transparency in the SAP authorization concept", our consultant Anton Grening demonstrated how easily and continuously this can be checked and maintained.

During a short demo, it became clear that only a few steps are necessary to carry out the analytics. The analytics run can be started at the push of a button in Diligent HighBond, results can then be presented in Mircosoft Excel or visually prepared as a storyboard in the Results module of HighBond. With the integrated dab:Link, you can return to the SAP system and follow up the results at document level and discuss them in the team.

dab:AuthorizationAssurance has 3 different approaches for checking authorizations in the SAP system. Anton Grening has explained in detail what exactly the three methods entail. In addition to the classic system checks and the identification of SoD violations, in the second stage the role concept can be preventively screened for specially defined critical combinations. The machine learning method is particularly interesting. Without defining a rule set in advance, outliers with individual authorization combinations are identified. By not looking at the user's authorization objects in isolation from one another, we get a much more meaningful big picture.

Finally, our further plans for product development were specified. Besides additional system checks, we plan to integrate the analysis into SAP S/4HANA and into our new product dab:neXus
