Impressions from the Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna - Annual Conference of the IIA Austria

The Institute for Internal Audit Austria invited us on 23 and 24 September 2021 to the 40th annual conference in Vienna. After a long time, we were very happy to be able to participate in an event of the IIA Austria in Vienna within a beautiful setting - the Apothekertrakt of the Schönbrunn Palace. We had nice conversations with familiar faces, but also insightful discussions with interested auditors on the topic of automated data analysis in the environment of audit management.

The main topics of the presentations were up-to-date and gave the target audience a comprehensive overview of current and future developments in their special field. A major focus was placed on auditing activities in the course of Corona. But also, the aspect of sustainability in particular business areas was covered extensively.

Here are a few extracts from the presentation agenda:

•    Sustainability in business - from freestyle to duty
•    The implementation of Agenda 2030 & The SDG'S from the perspective of the Austrian Court of Audit
•    EU Supply Chain Law
•     The future of the working world in the coming decade
•    Diversity Management - An obligation from the NaDiVeG
•    Social Media Governance
•    Etc.

In addition to the professional input, a varied supporting program was offered, in which the exchange with other visitors and the regional reference to the location of the event were not neglected. A guided tour through the State Rooms of Schönbrunn Palace and various culinary elements were part of the day's program.

Compliments to the Institute of Internal Audit Austria and to the involved organizers from Schönbrunn Palace for the all-around successful event.

Here are a few insights.
