DIIR Congress 2019

From 21st until 22nd November, the biennial congress from the German Institute for Internal Audit (DIIR) took place in Dresden. Several hundred auditors from all over Germany attended more than 70 lectures on topics related to internal auditing.

Together with our partner Galvanize we were also represented at the DIIR. During the congress we were able to welcome different people at our booth and have exciting conversations. From the discussions we had, we can see that the topic of digitization is increasingly pushing into internal audit work and that the auditors are looking for a reliable partner for the path of digitization in order to be well positioned for future work.

In addition to the discussions at our booth, we were also able to welcome almost 60 people to our lecture "The integration of audit and ICS - how synergies can be exploited through continuous control approaches". Johannes Schwele from Galvanize and I talked on how synergies can be created between the internal controls system and the internal audit with an integrated software solution. The lecture was enriched by a lot of questions and interested discussions and was feedbacked very positively.
